Storm Map

Here's a storm map my sister sent to me this morning.
We are in the "hit the liquor store" zone. No wait, the totally *&^%#@* zone.
My daughter reports that people were fighting over onions at the Gallery Place Safeway in DC last night.
They have pulled the snowplows off the streets because of unsafe conditions.
And if I hear one more smug person from Upstate New York speak condescendingly about our regional snow coping skills they will be sent back to Upstate New York. On foot. Today.

Your banner photo is making me so homesick for winter! After 10 years in Hawaii with nothing to worry about but hurricanes, tsunamis, and a live volcano, I miss a good snow emergency. (Uh, sorry, no, that's not an offer to trade places!)

I cannot believe that folks are fighting over food. It just does not make sense. Oy.

That is hysterical!! I am in the liquor store category - if only alcohol didn't give me migraines!! I am totally ready for a straight jacket after being home with the boys all these days. They are sniping at each other and just not getting along at all!!!

Love the map. We're in the totally screwed zone, though today (Thursday) things seem to be getting back to normal. Kids were off two days in a row.

LOL, that is hilarious! At least there were onions to fight over at that Safeway. When I went on Friday there were no regular onions left. There were sweet onions in a different area of the produce section and I totally snagged them. That is the Safeway where I left my library book. It was not turned in to customer service. :(
