So much is going on with that orange peplum dress I doubt that anyone would care about the back motifs. The shift dress is a definite no-no!

I agree; that dress is pretty busy! But I have no problem with the motif placement; in fact I think it's quite well done! If those "wings" were sitting directly on the butt cheeks, there would be a problem; as it is, it's up high enough to dodge that problem. And if the wings were placed lower or higher, it would look rather ODD, I would think. Better they sit right where wings would be! That horizontally placed line is correctly placed for where it is...very flattering!
My jaw dropped, especially the second dress.
