Studio storage ideas
Check out this pretty fabric storage solution. My studio and office are both painted, the office is done and in use. Now the real work begins on the studio... Please suggest any good ideas for fabric storage, thread storage etc.,in comments. Thanks!
Ha ha! Yes, it's pretty fabric storage... but the amount of fabric so tidily stored on those shelves barely qualifies as a stash. I would need an entire wall of shelves like that. I do like the foam-core mini-bolts, but only if Santa's elves will come in and do it all for me. Alas, I will have to be content with my plastic storage drawers. And bins. And the fabric piles on shelves. I wish I had some good ideas to share, especially for thread storage. Maybe someone else will chime in?
I think that your photos show a very cute storage system, but it looks like the fabric they're using are quilting cottons . . . I don't think that system would work very well for garment fabrics (especially since the boards used are so small). Sorry that I don't have anything productive to add . . . my stash is out of control, I keep buying more storage bins, filling them, and putting them in the basement! Out of sight, out of mind . . . that's probably NOT a good thing!

If I had any good ideas, perhaps my sewing room would not look like an episode of Hoarders. Good luck!
